BRIEF DESCRIPTION
If you’re a builder and you are facing re-work during the construction of a project or need to undertake remediation after construction during the builder’s warranty period, you’ll know how costly it is—particularly when it involves waterproofing bathrooms and external balconies. Additionally, water ingress through façades can have a serious impact to the health of occupants and is also highly costly to remediate.
How we can help
As waterproofing and façade experts, The Construction Adviser help builders during the construction phase to identify problematic façade issues and incorrect waterproofing applications. Prior to work commencing and during construction, we can help eliminate risks by:
- reviewing construction drawings and providing feedback of areas of concern relating to general façade and waterproofing design
- undertaking regular quality inspections during construction and identifying whether waterproofing has been applied in accordance with AS3740
- inspecting façade installation, and identification of probable water ingress issues
- providing feedback via field reports with recommendations to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and manufacturers’ recommendations.
